As an international British independent school in Almaty, we are looking for Chinese Language Teacher (Mandarin).

Requirements:

• Plan, prepare and document lessons.
• Manage curriculum delivery and associated resources in a manner that challenges and interests pupils and is appropriate to their needs and skill-levels.
• Take responsibility for curriculum delivery and associated resources in a manner consistent with school and departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain an ongoing formative assessment programme related to Units of Work and associated learning objectives.
• Prepare pupils for and administer summative assessment programmes including both school-based and externally examined assessments.
• Maintain consistency with internal and relevant external marking schedules and moderation procedures.
• Maintain legible, verifiable, accurate, comprehensive, defendable and fair records of formative and summative assessment results.
• Write reports on student performance for internal and external use as required.

Person Specification:

• A good level of Chinese and English ( Upper-Intermediate, Advanced )
• Teaching experience
• Teaching Qualification
• IELTS certificate is preferable.
• Proven successful experience of working with children in an educational setting
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Able to communicate effectively with a range of people
• Excellent listening skills
• Well organized and practical
• Ability to diffuse conflict
• Calm under pressure
• Able to form and maintain a range of Teaching and Learning strategies
• Able to form and maintain appropriate professional relationships and boundaries with children and parents
• Able to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner
• provided CV in English is desirable

Working period, schedule and benefits:

- 1-year contract

- Working hours: 8:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m
