About the Role:
International FMCG company is seeking an experienced and proactive Tax Manager to join our finance team in Kazakhstan. The ideal candidate will take ownership of tax compliance, reporting, audits, and strategic support across various tax-related functions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a global FMCG brand while working in a dynamic local environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with local tax regulations: preparation and submission of tax declarations and registers, timely tax payments, and accurate postings

• Lead group tax reporting activities and maintain internal tax registers

• Implement and updаtеlocal tax policies in alignment with global standards

• Conduct tax reviews of commercial contracts and verify certificates of tax residency

• Provide tax advice to internal departments and ensure transfer pricing compliance

• Support internal and external audits, including communication with tax authorities and response to tax notifications

• Prepare tax budgets and oversee tax reconciliation with local authorities

• Manage insurance-related matters and participate in contract approvals via DocsVision

• Collaborate with finance team during annual audit processes (e.g., PwC)

Requirements:

• 6–8 years of experience in tax roles, ideally within an international FMCG environment

• Strong knowledge of corporate income tax, VAT, and other local taxes (e.g., transport, ecological, withholding taxes)

• Hands-on experience with transfer pricing documentation and tax authority interactions (including field audits)

• Solid understanding of local tax laws and recent court practices on taxation

• Familiarity with local GAAP and IFRS (including deferred tax accounting)

• Proficient user of Excel and SAP

• Intermediate or higher English proficiency

• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
