An international FMCG company is looking for a Tax Accountant in Almaty.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation, calculation, and submission of tax returns: 100.00, 101.01, 101.02, 101.04, 300.00, 328.00, 400.00, 700.00, 701.00, 870.00

• Preparation and submission of tax returns, including CIT, VAT, WHT, Excise, Vehicle Tax, and Environmental Fees

• Reporting to the National Bank and submission of required statistical reports

• Ensuring compliance with internal deadlines and tax legislation

• Development and improvement of tax accounting policies and processes

• Reconciliation of GL accounts and monitoring tax-related transactions

• Participation in month-end closing and preparation of tax-related entries

• Communication with tax authorities, handling audits and inquiries

• Preparation of transfer pricing documentation and participation in international group reporting

• Tracking changes in tax legislation and analyzing their impact

• Interaction with non-residents and review of supporting documents

• Tax budgeting, reporting, and automation in SAP

• Execution of internal tax controls and reporting to Head Office

• Support in process improvement and other tasks within the tax function

Requirements:

• Higher education in accounting or taxation

• 5+ years of experience as a tax accountant

• Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan Tax Code and relevant legislation

• Understanding of chart of accounts and tax-related documentation

• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is required

• Participation in tax system localization projects

• Certified Tax Manager of Kazakhstan

• English – Intermediate or higher; Kazakh – required

• Experience in communication with tax and government authorities
