Capital Pay is a leading financial organization licensed by the National Bank of Kazakhstan, specializing in payment processing and merchant acquiring services. We are dedicated to providing innovative and secure solutions to our clients.

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Almaty. This role is critical in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance while supporting the growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with national and international accounting standards.

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reporting to regulatory authorities, including the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

• Manage tax filings, VAT returns, and liaise with tax authorities on all related matters.

• Keep company accounting records in 1C

• Oversee banking relationships, including reconciliation of transactions and management of bank accounts.

• Ensure proper cash flow management and liquidity planning.

• Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing findings and implementing recommendations.

• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard the company’s financial resources.

• Work closely with internal teams (Risk, Compliance, Operations) to ensure alignment on financial activities.

• Provide financial insights and guidance to senior management for strategic decision-making.

• Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development.

• Ensure team adherence to financial processes and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in financial organizations or payment service providers.

• Proven experience with financial reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• ACCA, CPA, or other relevant certifications are an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations in Kazakhstan.

• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

• Proficiency in Kazakh or Russian is an asset.

• High attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong ethical standards and integrity.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
