Andersen is hiring a Ruby Developer to build and enhance microservices, integrations, and shared database components, supporting the continuous evolution and stability of a large analytics-driven platform.

The customer is a global provider of analytics, research, and digital solutions supporting organizations across industries such as finance, energy, transportation, technology, and the public sector. Operating worldwide, the company is known for its advanced expertise in data management, predictive analytics, and cloud-based technologies, enabling clients to make informed decisions, reduce risks, and accelerate digital transformation.

The project is focused on developing and maintaining dedicated microservices, creating integrations with other system modules, and working with a shared database. It also includes implementing new functionality to support the platform’s continuous growth and stability.

Responsibilities:

• Defining technical strategy and architecture for web applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Leading and mentoring the development team, delegating tasks effectively, and monitoring progress to meet deadlines.
• Fostering team growth and collaboration through regular meetings, guidance, and professional development support.
• Conducting code reviews and enforcing coding standards to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
• Collaborating with stakeholders and project managers to clarify requirements and prioritize deliverables.
• Overseeing integration of third-party APIs and services, ensuring reliability and security.
• Resolving complex technical challenges and assisting the team with debugging and performance optimization.
• Implementing best practices for testing and CI/CD, ensuring scalability and stability of applications.
• Continuously improving development processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and innovation.

Must-haves:

• Commercial experience as a Ruby Developer for 5+ years.
• Experience in a team lead role.
• Experience working with Ruby on Rails for 5+ years.
• Experience working with API integrations.
• Experience writing integration tests to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Experience working with RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Experience working with MS SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of REST API principles.
• Understanding of and ability to work with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud services.
• Basic understanding of DevOps processes.
• Proficiency with Git for version control.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Nice-to-haves:

• Knowledge of the gRPC framework and its use cases.
• Experience with AWS.
• Knowledge of .NET, Python, or Java.
• Experience with Elasticsearch.
