Your role:
Your role will involve performing conflict checks for Deloitte DKU (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan). The requests may originate from internal Deloitte DKU engagement teams or business relationship teams, or externally, from other Member Firms within the Deloitte network. The procedure is required to ensure that the firm does not face an independence threat or other conflicts of interest when offering services to clients or entering into business or other financial relationships.
About the team:
The Deloitte DKU Conflict Check team is made up of 2 Junior and 2 Senior QRM Specialists. The Junior Specialists perform the conflict checks by analysing different databases to understand existing or previous relationships with a potential client/relationship partner. They are primarily looking for independence issues or other conflicts of interests. The Senior QRM specialists review the checks.
Duties:
- work with colleagues in writing and verbally - both those within the Conflict Check team and also in the business;
- use Deloitte software;
- research and analyse information from internal databases;
- process conflict check requests;
- carry out additional duties based on the needs of a specific colleague/department – these may be for the broader Independence Team.
Candidate requirements:
- a bachelor’s degree, preferably in economics, finance, risk management, law or linguistics;
- a basic understanding of the activities of major companies in the CIS and further afield;
- an analytical mind; a focus on decision-making; the ability to analyse information critically — draw up the correct logical conclusions based on available facts and arguments;
- a desire to provide services of the highest quality;
- an ability to work as part of a team and work on several tasks simultaneously;
- excellent verbal and written communication skills in Russian and English;
- the ability to follow instructions and act within the framework of the scope of responsibility, offering and implementing improvement initiatives;
- the motivation to provide quality services;
- the ability to analyse information in detail, understand the requirements of internal regulations and work with confidential information;
- good computer skills (MS Office).
