About the Role

An international company is looking for a Finance Manager / Chief Accountant for its representative office in Almaty.
This is a standalone position responsible for the full cycle of accounting and financial reporting, including foreign trade (import), warehouse and sales operations, and reporting to the head office.

Responsibilities:

• Full-cycle accounting and tax reporting in Kazakhstan (standalone role)

• Preparation and submission of tax, accounting, statistical, IFRS, and internal reports

• Accounting for import operations, customs clearance, inventory movements, and warehouse/trade transactions

• Managing settlements with suppliers, clients, and banks

• Cash and non-cash transaction management, preparation of payment orders

• Accounting and depreciation of fixed assets, cost calculation, and margin analysis

• Preparation of internal financial reports for international management (in English)

• Support during tax audits and external audits

• Oversight of all accounting operations: procurement, sales, returns, business trips, and employee expense reports

• Working in 1C; participation in SAP customization and implementation

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in independent accounting

• Higher education in finance, accounting, or economics

• Excellent knowledge of the tax and accounting regulations of Kazakhstan

• Proficiency in 1C (mandatory); SAP experience is a plus

• Experience in foreign trade operations and customs declaration

• Fluent Russian (spoken and written)

• Fluent English (spoken and written) for communication and reporting

• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently
