POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Cloud Technical Account Manager (Cloud TAM) plays a crucial role in helping clients successfully adopt and optimize cloud technologies. The professional skill requirements for a Cloud TAM are multifaceted, covering technical expertise, business understanding, client relationship management, and leadership abilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. In-Depth Technical Expertise
- Cloud Architecture and Services:
- Expertise in the architecture and services of major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Huawei Cloud), with the ability to understand and assist in designing highly available, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures.
- Familiarity with cloud concepts such as virtualization, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
- Cloud-Native Technologies:
- Deep knowledge of cloud-native development tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, microservice management, and serverless computing.
- High Availability and Disaster Recovery:
- Proficiency in cloud platform features related to high availability, load balancing, disaster recovery, and cross-region deployments, ensuring that clients’ businesses remain stable and operational.
- Performance Optimization and Cost Management:
- Ability to analyze clients' cloud resource usage and provide recommendations for performance optimization, capacity planning, and cost control, ensuring that clients achieve the best value from their cloud infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
- Strong diagnostic skills to quickly identify and resolve technical issues within the cloud environment, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to client operations.
2. Cloud Security and Compliance Knowledge
- Security Architecture and Best Practices:
- Expertise in designing secure cloud architectures, including identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, network security, and audit logging, to ensure that client environments follow best security practices.
- Compliance and Regulatory Standards:
- Knowledge of various industry-specific and region-specific compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2), helping clients ensure their cloud environments meet necessary legal and regulatory standards.
3. Client Needs Analysis and Solution Design
- Requirement Gathering and Communication:
- Strong skills in communicating with clients to fully understand their business challenges, goals, and technical requirements, then providing customized cloud solutions that address their needs.
- Solution Architecture and Planning:
- Ability to design cloud solutions that align with clients’ business objectives, offering both IaaS and PaaS layers of service and ensuring scalability, availability, and security.
- Cloud Migration and Optimization:
- Expertise in helping clients design and execute cloud migration strategies, ensuring smooth transitions from traditional IT infrastructures to cloud environments.
PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTE
Be responsible for customer relationship building and supporting;
3-5 year in account management or sales support;
Strong command of the English language (Upper-Intermediate or above);
B2B partners management experience (in technical sphere) (>=2 years);
Strong cloud analysis ability;
Good communication and analytical skills.
