Key Responsibilities:

Market Entry & Expansion:

• Develop and execute market entry strategies for the Kazakhstan market.
• Assess market potential, identify key regions, channels, and growth opportunities.
• Identify and build strategic partnerships with local distributors, wholesalers, and retail chains.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

• Build and manage the commercial model (pricing, distribution, marketing).
• Achieve KPIs related to sales volume, market penetration, point-of-sale coverage, and revenue. ​​​​​​​​
• ​​​​​​​Lead negotiations, close contracts, and ensure compliance with agreed terms.

Market & Competitive Analysis:

• Monitor competitive landscape, consumer trends, and local preferences.
• Adapt product and marketing strategies based on local insights.
• Provide regular reporting and propose development plan adjustments as needed.

Channel Development & Retail Presence:

• Develop multiple sales channels: traditional retail, modern trade, e-commerce.
• Ensure product availability and visibility: listings, merchandising, in-store promotions.
• Oversee planogram compliance and in-store execution standards.

Operational & Cross-Functional Coordination:

• Work closely with logistics, marketing, procurement, and finance teams.
• Participate in local trade shows, industry events, and meetings with key partners.
• ​​​​​​​Manage the regional development budget efficiently.

Qualifications:

• ​​​​​​​Minimum 3 years of experience in business development and sales in Kazakhstan, preferably in FMCG, fresh food, or consumer goods.
• Proven track record of launching brands and working with key distributors and retail chains (e.g., Magnum, Small, A-store, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of regional logistics, consumer behavior, and market specifics.
• Excellent strategic planning, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• ​​​​​​​Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, or a related field.
• ​​​​​​​Fluency in Russian and Kazakh; proficiency in English or Chinese is a plus.
• High mobility and willingness to travel extensively within Kazakhstan.
