Andersen is hiring a Business Analyst for a telecom project in Kazakhstan. The role focuses on supporting BSS system transformation and vendor selection to improve business processes and IT systems.

The project is focused on supporting the client in the strategic transformation of its BSS system, including the preparation and execution of a full-cycle RFP process to sеlесta new vendor. The goal is to enhance business flexibility, optimize operational processes, and modernize the IT landscape through a structured and expert-driven vendor selection approach.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing a question framework for business functions.
• Conducting interviews with process owners, end users, and IT teams.
• Gathering requirements across key BSS functions (CRM, Order Management, Billing).
• Participating in the alignment of functional aspects of integrations.
• Clarifying business interaction scenarios through BSS.
• Preparing and structuring “To-Be” requirements.
• Creating a GAP matrix between current and target functionality.
• Supporting change approval processes with business stakeholders.
• Preparing evaluation matrices.
• Assessing vendor solutions.
• Organizing demos and collecting supporting evidence.
• Creating comparative GAP tables for finalist solutions.
• Assessing coverage completeness and identifying the need for customization.
• Providing information on processes/modules used for TCO calculation.
• Supporting alignment between functional scope and licensing models.
• Assisting in final comparisons: “pro/con” tables, justifying deviations.
• Preparing the descriptive part of the final report.

Must-haves:

• Experience as a Business Analyst in the telecom industry for 5+ years.
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with BSS (Business Support Systems), including CRM, Billing, Product Catalog, and Order Management.
• Experience conducting Discovery phases, preparing Terms of Reference (ToR/RFP), and performing GAP analyses.
• Strong communication skills with various business units (marketing, sales, customer service, billing) and technical teams.
• Experience conducting interviews and workshops with business stakeholders.
• Experience modeling business processes using BPMN, UML, EPC.
• Skills in preparing business documentation: ToR, use cases, user stories.
• Experience analyzing requirements for compliance with vendor solutions.
• Participation in RFP processes: defining evaluation criteria, preparing questionnaires and checklists.
• Level of English – Intermediate+ and above.

• Knowledge of systems analysis.
