About Atlas Capital

Atlas Capital is a licensed investment management company based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. We manage assets for HNW individuals and institutions via separately managed accounts and through our flagship Atlas Prime fund. Our Macro-Balanced Quality strategy is based around investments in exceptional companies, while managing risks with our proprietary macroeconomic research.

We currently have the following positions open:

Buy-side analyst

Financial sector (banking, insurance, payments, fintech etc.)

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in one of the following fields:
  • Banking / financial sector equity research
  • TAS / M&A experience (at least 3 deals in the financial sector)
  • Macro research with a focus on monetary policy
  • Analytical / product management role in a financial firm
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Economics (preferred, but not necessary)
• Strong work ethic, quantitative skills, and critical thinking skills
• Advanced English
• Strong MS Excel skills. Experience with Bloomberg is a plus

Job functions

• Identification of firms with competitive advantages within the financial sector
• Analysis of companies’ and their competitors’ products and plans
• Valuation of the best companies
• Continuous monitoring of the companies, their products, prospects etc.
• Writing investment recommendations for portfolios under management
• Writing notes for our investors, media and our newsletter

Conditions

• Flexible work schedule & no dress code
• Competitive pay (700 thousand – 1 million KZT after deductions)
• Performance-based bonus (% of the performance fee)
• Coverage of expenses for relevant certifications (i.e. CFA)
