Gazprom Neft Badra NV , Badra O il Field , Iraq Gazprom Neft is a vertically integrated oil company primarily engag ed in oil & gas
exploration, production and sale of crude oil and petroleum products.
• Based at the US$2B Badra Central Processing Facility , accepted responsibility for
the sites HVAC and re frigeration requirements to the value of circa $50M. • Provided direction on equipment selection in terms of design, constr uction,
operation and maintenance from a technical, safety and investment perspective. • Directly influenced the decision to introduce an innovative turbine inlet cooling
system and th ermal energy storage which delivered significant cost reductions. • Facilita ted the approval of drawings, P&I Ds and 3D models. Participated in
HAZOP/HAZID studies, reliability reviews and FAT/SAT acceptance tests. • Oversaw multi -cultural project teams ranging in size from 4 to 200 and fostered
strong relationships with equipment manufacturers, EPC and PMC staff. • Assisted in the recruitment of PMC Engineers, Site HVAC Engineers, Maintenance
Engineers and a specialist Gas Turbine Engineer. Main p ackages included but not limited to :
• Refrigeration package wit h cooling capacity of 7 MW for t urbine inle t air cooling
systems for 4 x Hitachi H -25 Gas Turbine Generators. • Multi -stage refrigeration package for p rocess cooling (with cooling capacity of 2
x16.50MW) from 33degC to 18degC & then 18degC to 7degC .
• Centralized air conditioning package for 26 buildings (administrative building,
explosion proof laboratory, chemical storage, warehouse, battery storage etc.) . • HVAC package for s atellite control centers , substations and analyzer shelters .
