As an international British independent school in Almaty, we are looking for a Teacher of French.

The successful candidate will have:

- A passion for teaching French.

- A commitment to delivering and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning is essential.

- A commitment to assessment for learning and a willingness to embrace and put into practice the philosophy and style of teaching expected in a British International School are also essential requirements.

- The teaching is in English and candidates are required to have English at the upper-intermediate level.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and will be a genuine team player who will participate fully in the wider activities of the faculty and the school.

Responsibilities:

1. Possess a functional familiarity with the relationship between the UK National Curriculum guidelines, Haileybury Almaty Units of Work, lesson plans, and evaluation for the particular year groups/subjects taught.
2. Keep up to date with curriculum developments through reading and CPD opportunities.
3. Plan, prepare, and document lessons.
4. Manage curriculum delivery and associated resources in a manner that challenges and interests pupils and is appropriate to their needs and skill-levels.
5. Take responsibility for curriculum delivery and associated resources in a manner consistent with school and departmental policies and procedures.
6. Maintain an ongoing formative assessment programme related to Units of Work and associated learning objectives.
7. Prepare pupils for and administer summative assessment programmes including both school-based and externally examined assessments.
8. Maintain consistency with internal and relevant external marking schedules and moderation procedures.
9. Maintain legible, verifiable, accurate, comprehensive, defendable, and fair records of formative and summative assessment results.
10. Write reports on student performance for internal and external use as required.

Requirements:

• Degree in French and Pedagogical Qualification
• Level of French Advanced
• English level Upper-Intermediate

Working period, schedule and benefits:

- 1-year contract

- Working hours: 8:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m
