The Role: Your Mission

As a Tech Lead at Enji.ai, you'll be the linchpin between vision and execution.
You’ll drive critical technical decisions, guide the team through delivery, and ensure that the code we ship is scalable, testable, and valuable — all while mentoring engineers and balancing hands-on coding with thoughtful leadership.
This is your chance to shape not just a product, but an engineering culture.

What will need to do:

• Own the technical delivery of features from design through deployment
• Lead system design, decompose problems, and balance trade-offs
• Actively code (roughly 50% of your time), review PRs, and unblock others
• Interview and evaluate candidates; make recommendations on hiring, team expansion, and transitions
• Represent the engineering team in conversations with stakeholders, including product and clients
• Keep projects on track — define priorities, take part in planning sprints, and ensure timelines are met
• Take initiative: notice problems, raise them, and propose solutions
• Be the one who says, "Bring me the problem — I'll figure it out."

Requirements:

• Languages: Python (5+ years), JavaScript, TypeScript
• Frameworks: Flask, FastAPI, Gunicorn, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, Vue.js / Quasar
• Data & Workflows: PostgreSQL, Redis, Apache Airflow, Celery
• DevOps & Containers: Docker, docker-compose; bonus for Kubernetes, AWS or GCP
• Quality Tools: Ruff
• Monitoring & Auth: Sentry, Google Auth / OAuth, SendGrid
• AI/LLM: Hands-on with modern LLMs and dev tools like Cursor, Claude, Roo Code, Cline, or Windsurf. Understands how LLM works and has experience integrating LLM into a project
• Integration Experience (at least with one of): Telegram API, Slack, MS Teams, Jira API, ClickUp, on-premise deployments
• Will be a plus: GitHub pet projects, experience supporting boxed systems, audio/video integration experience
