Caravan Resources Group is a dynamic group of companies engaged in mining, construction, and industrial design. We specialize in the production of copper and gold cathodes and deliver high-quality engineering and construction services for industrial projects in the mining sector.
Our assets are located in three regions of Kazakhstan: Ulytau Region, Karaganda Region, and Kostanay Region. Exploration activities are currently ongoing in the Kostanay Region.

Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Lawyer to provide legal support across various projects and transactions. The successful candidate will play a key role in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks, and mitigating legal risks. This position requires strong analytical skills, legal expertise, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and transaction-related documents (e.g. agreements, term sheets).
• Provide legal support for project financing, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
• Conduct legal due diligence and assess legal risks for ongoing and potential projects.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local and international legislation and internal company policies.
• Advise senior management and project teams on legal risks and implications.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel on complex matters when necessary.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and recommend updates to internal practices and documentation.
• Maintain organized records and support internal audits where needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Law; additional qualifications in corporate or commercial law are a plus.
• At least 6 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in corporate, transactional, or project-based legal roles.
• Strong knowledge of corporate, contract, and commercial law.
• Proven experience negotiating and drafting complex contracts, particularly in mining, construction, or finance sectors.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Kazakh and/or Russian is a plus.
