We are looking for an engineer to build geo-distributed infrastructure and develop a PaaS platform, ensuring high reliability and performance of services as well as uninterrupted operation of the network connecting multiple data centers and cloud environments. The role involves participation across the full project lifecycle, process automation, and working with a modern tech stack: Linux (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux), Kubernetes, Docker/Containerd, CI/CD, Ansible/Saltstack, Git, multi-cloud solutions (AWS, GCP), and networking technologies (BGP, Bird, StrongSwan).
Responsibilities
- Building a geo-distributed infrastructure, ensuring maximum performance and reliability of our services
- Creation of PaaS platform
- Participation in the life cycle of projects at all stages, including the design and development of services, resource planning and maintenance
- Improving processes related to system maintenance (fault tolerance, scaling, postmortems, finding and eliminating bottlenecks)
- Automation of build, test and application delivery processes;
- On-call duty
- Development of services and infrastructure management tools
- understanding of BGP protocol principles
- experience with network connectivity in multi-cloud and on-premise solutions
- experience working with solutions based on Bird and StrongSwan
Qualifications
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Linux OS (we use Ubuntu, Amazon Linux)
- Knowledge and experience with Kubernetes clusters
- Experience with public and private clouds (AWS, GCP, Yandex.Cloud).
- Deep knowledge of Docker / Containerd containerization technologies
- Experience in building CI/CD Pipelines
- Experience in using Ansible / Saltstack and writing roles / playbooks / states / pillars
- Strong command of Git
- Ability to independently decompose tasks and bring them to the end
