Andersen is hiring a QA Engineer in Almaty for a project with a Kazakh bank. The role focuses on creating a unified loyalty system to enhance rewards, personalization, and customer engagement across banking products.

The customer is one of the leading commercial banks in Kazakhstan. The bank's main areas of activity are corporate and retail banking. It also actively participates in the securities market and currency operations in Kazakhstan. The customer has a network of branches and offices throughout the Republic, serving more than 100,000 legal entities and 1.5 million individuals.

The project is the development of a unified system for managing loyalty programs, aimed at consolidating reward, bonus, and customer engagement mechanisms across all product lines –including cards, loans, deposits, ecosystem services, and the mobile app.

Responsibilities:

• Creating test cases.
• Performing functional, regression, integration, and system testing of new features.
• Testing APIs, UI, performance, and load.
• Maintaining test documentation, including reporting on testing results and identified defects.
• Accepting developer tasks by verifying compliance with requirements and absence of bugs.
• Creating and maintaining bug reports in task management systems.
  
  Requirements:
• Experience as a QA Engineer for 2,5 years.
• Experience working on banking or fintech projects.
• Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Knowledge of testing types: functional, integration, regression, system, load (at the planning level), UI/UX testing.
• Experience in writing test documentation: test cases, checklists, bug reports, test plans.
• Proficiency in test design techniques (equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, decision tables, state transition, pairwise testing).
• Understanding of risk-based testing and ability to prioritize test cases.
• Experience with bug tracking systems (Jira, YouTrack, etc.) and test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, Qase).
• Experience with version control systems (Git, GitLab, GitHub).
• Understanding of client-server architecture and network protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, REST, WebSocket).
• Experience with backend logging and monitoring tools (Kibana, Grafana, Sentry).
• Knowledge of database basics (SQL: SELECT, JOIN, filtering, aggregation).
• Basic knowledge of Linux and command-line tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and build systems.
• Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
  
  Nice to have:
• Experience with or deep understanding of mobile testing.
