Andersen is looking for a Product Owner for a UAE fintech project. The role focuses on developing and improving a digital wallet app with an emphasis on performance, compliance, and user experience.

The customer is an innovative fintech provider delivering a comprehensive digital payments ecosystem across multiple markets, including Turkey, Azerbaijan, and the UAE. Focused on enhancing financial accessibility, the company offers services such as electronic wallets, customizable virtual and physical debit cards, QR payments, and international transfers, all supported by 24/7 in-app assistance. With a strong emphasis on security, regulatory compliance, and technological innovation, the customer is positioned as a leading force in the digital financial services sector.

The project is focused on the development and expansion of a digital wallet application. The goal is to deliver a high-performing, compliant, and user-friendly solution that meets evolving market and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Defining and maintaining the product roadmap and prioritizing initiatives aligned with business goals.
• Owning the product backlog: write user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritize based on business value.
• Translating epics into actionable items and guiding backlog grooming and sprint planning.
• Acting as the voice of the customer in cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, Compliance, Design).
• Running stakeholder engagement sessions to gather feedback and align priorities.
• Ensuring timely, high-quality feature delivery and balance trade-offs between scope, budget, and timeline.
• Facilitating product-related scrum ceremonies: backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, etc.
• Overseeing validation and acceptance of delivered functionality.
• Coordinating with compliance and legal teams to align features with KYC, AML, PCI-DSS, and data privacy regulations.

Must-haves:

• Experience as a Business Analyst/Product Owner in digital product or fintech environments for 3+ years.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and backlog management.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex product roadmaps.
• Experience with compliance-heavy domains (KYC, AML, etc.).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and product analytics tools.
• Background in digital wallets, payments, or consumer-facing financial apps.
• Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate.
