We are looking for a suitable candidate for the Legal Counsel position.

The individual in this role would be responsible for various legal work of the company, such as preparation of monthly legal insight, contract review and negotiation, legal dispute handling (litigation (civil, administrative), representing company’s interests in the state bodies.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Conduct legal insight and obtain legal best practices
• Draft and review contracts, participate in negotiations with customers and suppliers
• Review various type of documents
• Assist in handling company’s corporate legal processes
• Handle all kinds of disputes with company during administrative and civil court cases
• Represent the Company in local state authorities
• Performing legal research and provide up to date legal advisory on different issues, consult and handle corporate legal processes
• Assist in cooperating with external legal counsels in foreign jurisdictions on crucial issues of the Company
• Any other ad-hoc duties that may be required from time to time to fulfil the business needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degrees in Law
• Min 2 years of post-qualification professional experience in a law firm or relevant corporate environment.
• Strong understanding in International Business Law, IP Law, Licensing Law etc.
• Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan Civil law, Commercial law, Labor law, Competition law, personal data law, cybersecurity law, Administrative legislation
• Fluency in written and spoken English is a plus. Fluency in Kazakh.
• Strong analytical thinking, detail-oriented
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload whilst meeting with the tight deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willing to work in an international team and develop effective working relations with colleagues
• Proactive and self-motivated to get hands-on challenges and work under pressure
• Proficiency in software and tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs, etc.
