An international pharmaceutical and diagnostics company announces a vacancy for the position of Head of Commercial Development in its Almaty office in a full-time job. Working experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical diagnostic equipment industry is mandatory. Proficiency in English at the Advanced level is essential.

Summary

The Head of Commercial Development leads commercial operations in the CIS & Caucasus region, defining a commercial strategy to develop commercial activities and achieve sales results both short and medium terms, in alignment with the company's goals and strategies. You will establish business priorities and guarantee the strategic focus with the right resource allocation to assure the effectiveness of the sales, account management, and distributor management & development, to maximize results and maintain a competitive advantage against competitors. You will share best practices and develop the team’s skills/capabilities.

Responsibilities

● Translate company’s strategy into the local markets. Develop local strategy and implement sales and distributor management & development plans to achieve commercial success. Increase market share, meet sales and marketing targets and KPIs

● Supervise market and competitive analysis to maintain best-in-class market knowledge, business intelligence, and forecasting

● Take part in building the integrated business plan, in alignment with other functions (healthcare policy, marketing) and make sure action plans are executed effectively by the commercial team.

● Establishes the business priorities, assuring business focus and the right resource allocation for sales, account management, distributor management and development

● Achieves commercial success of new products in the market, with sound planning and resource allocation

● Prepare and perform performance reviews with the distributors

● Implements the necessary activities and corrective actions, to meet the strategic KPIs

● Defines guidelines for prices and terms to ensure the best deals are secured, in compliance with pricing strategy and positioning

● Reviews and authorizes customers' offers and contracts

● Supervises the complete commercial operation cycle from lead generation to contracting

● Analyze and negotiate contractual issues for each country of responsibility in collaboration with Legal/Compliance function(s)

● Continuous formation and development of a goal-oriented sales/account management team, and ensures that the sales force has the product-related knowledge and skills required to promote the products

Requirements

● You hold a BSc degree in Life Sciences, Laboratory, Biomedical, Marketing, or Business Administration. Post graduate degree will be preferred

● You built 10 years of work experience in Sales within the healthcare industry, with high medical value, and a proven success record

● You bring 5 - 7 years of leadership competencies with a proven track of successful of driving change, leading through adversity, and difficult decision making

● You are visionary, think at a strategic level, and can analyze all aspects of the business to make informed business decisions

● You bring effective people leadership and people management competencies and apply Leadership Commitments

● You are well-organized and built advanced planning skills

● You are dynamic, business-driven, and can achieve goals with minimal direction

● You built advanced communication and presentation skills, can influence and persuade

● You are fluent in English and preferably fluent in Russian languages (both spoken and written)

● You are flexible and able to travel when it is required
