Job Purpose:
The Flight Safety Inspector ensures the safety and compliance of flight operations at the airport. This role involves monitoring and enforcing adherence to aviation safety regulations, conducting inspections, investigations of incidents and accidents, and improving safety measures to ensure a secure operational environment for all aviation stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of airport operations, including airside operations, maintenance facilities, flight operations, and safety equipment.
- Perform audits to ensure compliance with local, national, and international flight safety regulations (ICAO, FAA, EASA, etc.).
- Ensure that operational practices meet the airport's safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate aviation incidents and accidents (including near misses) to identify root causes and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Document investigation findings and create detailed reports with recommendations for preventing future occurrences.
- Monitor and evaluate the Safety Management System (SMS) of the airport to identify and mitigate safety risks.
- Participate in risk assessment processes and develop strategies to improve safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all aviation safety regulations, including ICAO standards, national aviation authorities, and company policies.
- Support the development of safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Work closely with airport operations, ground services, security, and air traffic control teams to coordinate safety efforts and improve operational safety.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, safety organizations, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and share safety knowledge.
- Participate in emergency response planning and simulation exercises.
- Support the implementation of emergency procedures and ensure readiness in case of incidents or accidents.
Qualifications Requirements:

- High or Secondary specialized aviation (technical) education, or training in the field of airport activities.
- At least 3 years of experience in aviation-related fields, specifically in-flight safety, or within one or more airport operational departments (engineering and technical services, airfield service, search and rescue, fuel services, etc.). Alternatively, experience in other civil aviation organizations that impact or are related to flight safety.
- Training in Safety Management Systems (SMS).
- Experience and qualifications in conducting audits and inspections related to flight safety and quality issues.
- Strong knowledge of human factors in aviation, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Computer literacy.
- Solid understanding of the aviation regulatory framework.
