Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, process, etc.). Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the engineering department.
- Project Management: Oversee the technical execution of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with project scope, timelines, and budget. Manage resources, risks, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Design & Engineering Oversight: Ensure the development and approval of engineering designs that meet technical, safety, and regulatory standards. Provide technical guidance and direction to project teams.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Implement and maintain engineering best practices, quality control standards, and industry regulations to ensure the successful execution of projects. Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) regulations and company policies.
- Client Interaction & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main technical interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring that all technical requirements are met and communicated effectively.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and methodologies, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and innovation in project execution.
- Budget & Resource Management: Manage budgets for engineering projects, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and controlling project costs.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, or related field). A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role within the oil & gas industry.
- Project Management: Proven track record of managing large, complex engineering projects in the oil & gas sector, including upstream, midstream, or downstream operations.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of engineering principles, design standards, and industry-specific regulations in the oil & gas sector.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and team management skills. Ability to motivate and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English;
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with engineering design software (AutoCAD, SAP, Primavera, etc.) and project management tools.
- Certifications: PMP or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
- Experience in managing offshore/onshore oil & gas projects.
- Familiarity with international design codes and standards.
