Andersen is looking for a Data Architect for a project with a Bulgarian iGaming company. The role involves building and optimizing data infrastructure to support a high-load gaming platform.

The customer is a leading technology provider in the iGaming industry, delivering a comprehensive range of online gaming solutions including casino games, sportsbook, and lottery systems. Operating in more than 50 regulated markets worldwide, they focus on business intelligence, process automation, and localized technological innovations. The company has been recognized with prestigious industry awards for its gaming products and platform excellence, and continues to expand rapidly across Europe, Latin America, and other key regions.

The project is focused on designing and evolving the data infrastructure for a high-volume, data-driven iGaming platform. It involves building and optimizing data architecture, including storage, pipelines, real-time processing, and analytics, to ensure scalability, performance, and alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing current data architecture and defining the target-state design.
• Identifying gaps, risks, and modernization opportunities for data flows and storage.
• Designing logical/conceptual models, architecture diagrams, and technical standards.
• Collaborating with the team to ensure alignment with performance, cost, and scalability goals.
• Preparing Data Maturity and Data Architecture Assessment Reports, Gap Analysis and Architecture Vision Document.

Must-haves:

• Proven experience in Data Architecture, or similar roles, with a proven track record in designing large-scale data systems for high-volume environments (e.g., iGaming, finance, e-commerce), for 4+ years.
• Experience in conducting Data Audits.
• Hands-on experience with Data warehousing (Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery) and Lakehouse architectures (Delta Lake/Iceberg).
• Strong knowledge of analytical databases (ClickHouse), operational databases (PostgreSQL, ScyllaDB), and real-time data pipelines (Apache Kafka).
• Solid experience with ETL orchestration (Apache Airflow, Jenkins) and BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to create comprehensive architecture documentation, including data flow diagrams, models, and assessments.
• Understanding of AI/ML infrastructure, including vector storage (Qdrant) and inference serving.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices (feature stores, model deployment pipelines) and collaboration with Data Science teams.
• Expertise in SQL (advanced query optimization, partitioning) and Python (or Java/Scala for pipeline development).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with hybrid infrastructure setups (on-premises and AWS).
• Working knowledge of Python, SQL, and modern ETL pipelines.
• Understanding of iGaming-specific data challenges (e.g., player behavior analytics, fraud detection, high-velocity transaction data).
