The Position

Chief Financial Office - Regional Central Asia Coverage - Retail Experience required

The Company

Our client is an international retail operator with iconic retail brands. From Almaty they are covering several markets in Central Asia. With 50+ stores operational already they continue growing in the region. For future periods they are also planning to launch some additional brands in the market.

The Position

The company is in the process in sourcing most of the outsourced finance function. The CFO and the team will be concluding this process and support the business in its further expansion in the region. The proccess of choosing all system software, link to local authorities and internally in the group of companies will need to be established. Developing all financial and controlling procedures will be as important as keeping touch with the local finance functions in the respective countries and dealing with the head office.

You will be managing a team of Finance and Controlling experts, the chief accountant and their team as well as the legal function. Several vacancies in the team will also need to be filled.

The Person

As the head of finance you have already gained experience in the retail environment with a very quick pace. You will need to be quite hands on and be ready to work in an environment where not all procedures and approaches are settled. As a strong people's manager you will guide your team in the right direction. A good command of English and Russian will be important to communicate effectively.
